Eu vi Ana! -Juan’s visit to the beautiful Viana do Castelo

The wait has been long, and now that spring has begun, this is probably the time to explore Portugal!

Juan’s 7th month in Porto has been a culmination of various tours around the city, gatherings, celebrations, and travel. Although I became familiar with Porto by walking through every street and alley of the city, I still joined a few walking tours around downtown and Matosinhos to learn more about the history. I attended a celebratory parade that is very important to Portuguese democracy (see Portugal Liberation Day).

Juan also attended a few gatherings, including a seafood dinner, our monthly Third Thursday event, Friday nights out, a  painting session, and a picnic at the park, meeting people we now consider friends. One of my favorite experiences was our trip to Viana do Castelo, as it was my first trip outside Porto this year. Let me show you some photographs I captured during the trip.
